The iGBA serves four pillars: Professional Development, Degree and Program Development, Student Experience, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.


Standing Committees of iDegrees Graduate Business Association

iConverge
The iConverge committee is responsible for gathering feedback from members and sharing ideas with Gies Online administration on continuous improvement for iConverge. Additionally, the iConverge committee plans iGBA satellite events such as The Afterparty at iConverge and other student-run initiatives.

Winter Takeover
The Winter Takeover committee is responsible for planning activities, registration pricing and marketing for the iGBA’s annual student-run standalone event, Winter Takeover.

North America Regional Chapter Leadership
The North America Regional Chapter Leadership committee gathers leaders from iDegrees geographical groups around North America to brainstorm how the iGBA can best support regional events and help drive engagement on a regional level.

International Chapter Leadership
The International Chapter Leadership committee is responsible for coordinating and driving iGBA engagement and activities with members located outside of North America. 

Study Group Leadership
The Study Group Leadership committee gathers past and present iDegrees Study Group leaders to brainstorm and promote best practices for all study groups.


Tech-MarComm Leadership
This committee seeks leaders in technology, digital marketing, and finance to oversee the implementation and management of tools and services aimed at optimizing iGBA board operations and communication channels.

iDegrees Student Recognition
The iDegrees Student Recognition committee develops, maintains, and oversees programs to recognize members of the currently enrolled online graduate business student body including the criteria, nomination process, selection, and awards.

iGBA Membership

The iGBA Membership Committee promotes membership in the iGBA, especially in recruiting for the higher tiers of membership levels. This committee also evaluates the membership level benefits and advises changes to stay meaningful and relevant to the student body. 

Professional Development

The goal of the iGBA Professional Development Committee is to provide current students necessary resources and guidance on career development including career path analysis, resume workshops, interview guidelines, mock interview sessions, coaching through soft 

skills, etc.

Women in Business

The Women in Business committee is focused on empowering women in the iDegrees program to achieve their personal and professional goals through education, development, networking, service, and leadership. The committee strives to create opportunities to make meaningful connections with people and organizations which help further professional development.

LGBTQ+ and Ally Affairs
The LGBTQ+ and Ally Affairs committee engages with the iDegrees LGBTQ+ and Ally community to help gauge program commitment to and raise awareness of issues affecting LGBTQ+ students. Additionally, the committee helps identify helpful resources for LGBTQ+ students.

BIPOC Affairs
The BIPOC Affairs committee engages with the iDegrees BIPOC community to help gather feedback on equitable representation of DEI principles in all facets of iDegrees and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of that area. Additionally, the BIPOC Affairs committee raises awareness of issues affecting the BIPOC community and helps identify helpful resources to optimize their iDegrees experience.

Students with Visible and Invisible Disabilities Affairs

The Students with Visible and Invisible Disabilities Affairs committee engages with students who have visible and invisible disabilities to help gauge program commitment to and raise awareness of issues those students, as well as help identify helpful resources to optimize their iDegrees experience.

Military and Veteran Student Affairs
The Military and Veteran Student Affairs committee engages with iDegrees students serving or who have served in the military to help identify helpful resources to optimize their iDegrees experience.

iMBA Program Development

The iMBA Program Development committee will engage with currently enrolled online iMBA students to help build a strategic vision for the program. Focusing on program enhancement, the committee will explore course and specialization recommendations based on current and future trends with an overall expectation of showcasing the program as a leader in the industry.

iMSA Program Development 

The iMSA Program Development committee will collaborate with fellow enrolled iMSA students to help develop the program and create a pathway for future students interested in becoming an iDegrees student. We will provide feedback on course pairings and explore degree recommendations with iDegrees administration. Our mission is to improve iMSA student engagement in all aspects of the iDegrees program.

iMSM Program Development

The iMSM Program Development committee will oversee the program offerings to leverage new opportunities to make strategic and informed decisions in the competitive higher education market. The committee will focus on elements like differentiators, graduate outcomes, and student needs when planning new offerings while making recommendations to the iDegrees administration.
